Kenya vs Cameroon Predictions

Cameroon have a far strong squad when compared with the visitors and that showed in the 4-1 win at home last weekend. It may be a bit tougher on the road, but the Indomitable Lions should be too good once again. I am backing the match to see over 2.5 goals.

  • Kenya have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 2 matches.

  • Cameroon have won their last 2 matches against Kenya.

  • Cameroon have won 2 of their last 3 matches.

  • Cameroon beat Kenya 4-1 at home last week.

Head to Head

These two have only met twice with Cameroon winning on both occasions. Last week, at home, Cameroon beat Kenya 4-1.

Kenya Form

After three games in the AFCON qualifiers, Kenya are on four points and third in the group. They are one point off Zimbabwe and three off Cameroon at the top.

The Kenyans drew 0-0 against Zimbabwe at home in their group opener before an impressive 2-1 away win against Namibia in the second game.

Last week, in Cameroon, Kenya came crashing down to earth though, losing 4-1. The hosts went 2-0 up before the 40-minute mark before Kenya pulled one back just before the break.

However, Cameroon scored two second half goals without reply.

Kenya Injuries & Team News

Kenya are under pressure to get a result at home. Expect them to shore the defence up this week after leaking four goals last weekend.

Cameroon Form

Cameroon are top of Group J for AFCON 2025 qualification with seven points. They have won two and drawn one of their three games.

The Indomitable Lions were not at their best in the first two games, narrowly beating Namibia 1-0 in their opener. That was followed by a disappointing goalless draw away to Zimbabwe.

Last week Cameroon were in fine form though, seeing off Kenya 4-1 at home. Vincent Aboubakar gave them the lead from the penalty spot before Martin Hongla doubled the lead in the 39th minute.

While Kenya pulled a goal back before the break, Brian Mbeumo and Christian Bassogog scored in the second half to secure the points.

Cameroon Injuries & Team News

This is an away trip for Cameroon, so I do expect some changes for them. They will still be confident of getting the result.
